Simple & Delicious Recipe for Elk Rack
Here is a simple and delicious recipe for elk rack.
Ingredients
1 elk rack (about 6-8 ribs)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
2 sprigs of fresh thyme
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Season the elk rack generously with salt and black pepper.
Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and swirl to coat the pan.
Sear the elk rack, meat-side down, until browned, about 4 minutes.
Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the meat registers 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
Remove the skillet from the oven and let the elk rest for 10 minutes.
In the meantime, add the garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.
Carve the elk rack into individual ribs and serve with the herb sauce.
